The Best Laid Plans Of Lights and Darks (A Laundry Post)

So our future country house, which right now is our present country project, is an old hay drier from the 50's and is roughly 1,000 square feet. Our plans for the space include an open living room, dining area and kitchen, a modest sized bathroom, a bedroom and guest bedroom. There is also currently a TON of storage in the plan: 3 closets, a boiler room and a small storage room.

(If you're thinking that that's not a lot of storage, you've never lived in New York City.)

This "storage room", as it's so tenderly labeled on the blueprint, means to me... a laundry room. There are plenty of reasons why it can work! (Thinking about having a LAUNDRY ROOM makes me feel like weeping with joyful exuberance) So... here is some laundry room inspiration:
